The 800 Series is primarily a
safety brake for large inertial machines such as:
Bulk Material Handling
Conveyors
Hydro Turbines
Wind Turbines
Ball Mills
Drag Lines
Oil Rigs

The 800 Series is a dual cylinder single acting caliper.

Each cylinder may employ a variety of Belleville spring
stacking arrangements, which will provide for various brake thrust
loads applied to the disc rotor.

The cylinder length is adjustable to accommodate the
various Belleville spring stacking arrangements and is field
changeable. Basically each unit is actually four (4) different
brakes.

The 800 Series, like all series; has a back loading
friction puck holder that holds a specifically shaped molded
friction puck designed to be held in a machined cavity in the puck
holder. Friction replacement time is about 5 minutes; drop out —
drop in.
