The 600 Series Caliper is a Pressure Set,
or Hydraulically Applied caliper with a positive spring retraction of
hydraulic pistons upon relaxation of pressure. This allows for zero
friction puck or shoe drag. The 600 Series has been designed to
replace the A.I.S.E. shoe brake in most sizes.
- The 600 Series is a single acting caliper employing two
(2) hydraulic cylinders.
- Each cylinder employs an internal spring retraction mechanism.
- The 600 Series has been designed primarily for the steel
industry as an extremely rugged bridge travel brake. Unlike the drum
units it is designed to replace, the 600 Series is capable of being
engaged via the foot pedal hydraulic system at maximum pressure. The
operator may apply maximum motor torque and accelerate through the
brake without sacrificing the brake.
- Alternate applications can include water-cooled friction pads
of specific design for tension applications, i.e., winch tension,
payoff reals, steel uncoilers, marine winches, etc.
- The 600 Series is available in the following sizes:
►102-600/23 & 102-600/23
Dual
►101-600/19 & 101-600/19 Dual
►103-600/13 & 103-600/13 Dual
►100-600/8 & 100-600/13 Dual
